About Us

Hathor is focused on educating people about the power of nature as medicine. Inspired by our Egyptian roots, we deliver ancient remedies for the modern human.

Find your remedy in the wisdom of the ancients.

We may have been founded in 2020, but our methods are proven by thousands of years of history. Hathor is the only brand that manufactures natural, food-grade-certified, cold pressed oils for therapeutic/holistic use.

Daly Tarek Abou Ghazala was inspired to launch Hathor when she wanted to find safe, all-natural products for her daughter's skin. When she learned about the health and beauty rituals in ancient Egypt, she was disappointed to find that modern production often destroys the helpful properties of the ingredients they once used. Many of today's "natural moisturizers" retain little if any of the ingredients that actually benefit the body.

After copious scientific research and study of ancient Egyptian traditions, Daly decided to launch a line of oils that not only supported beauty, but promoted healthy balance within the body. We use 100% natural ingredients so that you get all the micro- and macronutrients from our oils as if they were fresh off the vine, root, or tree.

Along with our eco-friendly packaging, you can enjoy a product that is as respectful to the environment as it is to your body.

Ancient Egypt

Essential oils have been used in ancient Egypt as early as 10,000 BC. Ancient Egyptians used oils to soften the skin in daily beauty rituals. Oils also played crucial roles in  religious ceremonies and burial. Experts on the benefits and properties of herbs and plants, the ancient Egyptians developed perfume oils to anoint themselves in times of prayer, war, and love.

Robert Thornton

The beautiful image on our upcoming scrub was created by Robert Thornton from his 1807 book, The Temple of Flora. Dr. Thornton did not start as a trained botanist; he went into the field for the love of it, most notably inspired by the Egyptian blue lotus. He appreciated the flower’s natural resilience and beauty. Everything this flower fits our brand identity and the concepts of rebirth and rejuvenation that it represents. We love Dr. Thornton’s art and hope you enjoy it too!
